Amanda grew up in Porters Lake, NS. She is a double alumna of Dalhousie University completing both her BSc. in Kinesiology and MSc. in Physiotherapy. Amanda has volunteered as an athletic trainer for multiple sporting events and has been the athletic trainer for the NS U15 Major Gulls since 2017. She currently serves as a board member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada- NS section.

Amanda uses an individualized approach to rehabilitation, selecting from various evidence-based techniques to support her patients. She has post-graduate training in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, K-taping, Acupuncture, Complete Concussion Management, and is a certified Sport First Responder.

Ashley grew up in Porter’s Lake & graduated from Dalhousie University in 2005 with Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.

She has taken extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, pre & post natal physiotherapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture and dry needling, neuromobilization, chronic pain management, and concussion management.

Ashley is a co-owner of PhysioLink Porters Lake with Shauna, and they strive to support and help our local Eastern Shore communities towards best health & wellness practices.

Doug grew up in Cape Breton, NS, and received a BSc in Chemistry (Honours) from CBU in 2017. During his time at CBU, Doug embarked on 6 years of chemistry research and has published several peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals as a result.

His passion for sports, exercise, and helping others led him to pursue a career in physiotherapy. He went on to attend Dalhousie University where he received an MSc in Physiotherapy in 2022.

Doug prides himself on his research ability and its applicability to his evidence-based approach to physiotherapy practice, which he uses to develop individualized treatment plans and empower his patients with education.

Massage Therapy

Lisa is a dedicated Registered Massage Therapist who graduated with distinction from Eastern College’s Massage Therapy program. In addition to her Massage Therapy qualifications, she is also a certified yoga teacher at the 200-hour level, as well as a Reiki practitioner. With a background in nursing, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and a holistic approach to her practice.

Lisa is passionate about health & wellness, focusing on stress reduction, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients to express themselves and address their individual needs. Lisa is fascinated by the human body and the mind-body connection; she utilizes General Therapeutic Swedish massage, myofascial techniques, joint mobilizations, and passive stretching with an intuitive approach to promote healing and well-being.

Outside of her professional life, Lisa has a regular yoga and meditation practice, is an animal lover, and an outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys hiking around Nova Scotia, and spending time at the beach with friends & family.

Robyn graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2010 with a Diploma in Massage Therapy and a Certificate in Special Needs Outreach.

She is an active member of the Massage Therapist’s Association of Nova Scotia.

She has completed extensive post-graduate training in various modes of Massage Therapy, as well as Manual Lymph Drainage techniques.

With Robyn’s extensive experience in Massage Therapy, she is able to individualize each client’s treatment to their condition with the goal of reducing symptoms and improving function.

Shauna grew up in PEI, and received a BScKIN from UNB in 2006. She then went to Dalhousie University and received an MScPT in 2008.

She has taken extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, exercise prescription, McKenzie Method, advanced acupuncture and dry needling, and neuromobilization techniques.

Shauna is a co-owner of PhysioLink Porters Lake with Ashley, and they strive to support and help our local Eastern Shore communities towards best health & wellness practices.

Shauna is currently working with her Golden Retriever, Eddie, on his Therapy Dog certification.

Stephen Nicholle

Stephen graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2004, and then a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2007.

With over 18 years of clinical experience, Stephen has treated a wide variety of physical conditions. Stephen also has over 10 years of experience in Intramuscular Stimulation & Dry Needling, as well as 8 years of practice in Manipulative Therapy.

Stephen grew up in a small coastal town on the west coast of Newfoundland. He enjoys spending time on the water with his wife and dog. He is also passionate about golf and football.
